Editorial
Editorial standards
Every strain page in the Lockbox library passes three checks before it goes live. First, the breeder of record has to be a verifiable working seed program — we do not write up clone-only cuts as if they were seed releases, and we do not publish entries for genetics that only exist on a single forum thread. Second, the parent strains must agree between the breeder’s public catalogue and an independent strain registry such as seedfinder.eu. Third, at least one documented grow report (forum or licensed lab) has to match the breeder’s flowering window and yield figures within a reasonable margin.
Update cadence
We re-review the most-trafficked twenty strain pages every quarter and the rest of the library every six months. The “Reviewed” date stamped at the top of each page is the date the entry was last walked through by an editor, not the date it was first published. If a breeder changes a flowering claim or renames a strain mid-release, that change goes in on the next review cycle and the timestamp ticks forward.
What we do not publish
We do not publish dosing advice, medical recommendations, or legal guidance. Cannabis seeds are sold as collectible souvenirs in most jurisdictions; whether you may legally germinate them is a question for your local law, not for this site. We do not link to seed banks that ship to states where cannabis seed sale is criminalized, and we do not run pages that target users in those states with “best seeds to grow” content.
