Cannabis breeders in Spain

Spanish cannabis culture grew up around the Cannabis Social Club model — non-profit member associations that cultivate and distribute cannabis internally under a legal interpretation that predates the formal regulation found in other European markets. The clubs are concentrated in Catalonia, the Basque Country, and Madrid, and they created the demand base that supported a parallel Spanish breeding scene running alongside the larger Dutch industry from the 1990s onward. Barcelona hosts Spannabis, the largest cannabis trade show in Europe, which since 2004 has functioned as the annual showcase for Spanish breeding houses and the genetics moving between Catalan growers and the rest of the continent. Regional Spanish programs have stabilized their own landrace-leaning sativa lines and produced photoperiod-feminized catalogues whose footprint sits well outside the Amsterdam-Cup orbit. The Lockbox library does not currently track a Spanish breeder, and additions to the directory are welcome — when a verified Spanish breeder catalogue is added it will appear on this page alongside the regional context that defines Spanish cannabis culture.

Breeding context in Spain

The 0 breeders listed on this page operate, or have operated, within Spain. Each entry below links through to a full breeder profile with founding year, catalogue history, and the strain pages we have written up so far. Country of operation is normalized against the source catalogue and verified against published breeder interviews where possible — when a breeder splits operations across two countries we list them under the country of their primary breeding facility.

Breeders operating in Spain

No Spanish breeder catalogues in the library yet — coming soon. If you operate or document a Spanish breeding program you would like represented in the directory, the contact form is open and entries are added on a rolling basis.

Lockbox Seeds is an independent reference and is not affiliated with any breeder named on this page. Country of operation reflects publicly documented breeding facility location as of the review date. Cannabis seeds are sold as collectible souvenirs in many jurisdictions; check local law before germinating.
