Diesel family cannabis strains

Diesel as a named family begins with Sour Diesel, a New York cut from the early 1990s whose exact pedigree is still debated but most commonly traced to a Chemdawg 91 x Super Skunk pollination. The signature is a sharp, ammonia-and-fuel terpene profile that punches through any cure and stays unmistakable in dry trim. Sour Diesel and its sibling Chemdawg founded the American gas line and seeded virtually every modern hybrid that lists fuel notes — Bruce Banner, Headband, Gorilla Glue #4, NYC Diesel, and Strawberry Diesel all sit downstream. Diesel-family plants typically lean sativa-dominant, stretch hard in flower, finish around ten to twelve weeks, and produce long, foxtailed colas rather than the dense rocks of Kush genetics. The high tends toward bright, focused, and slightly racy — the classic East Coast wake-and-bake profile rather than the West Coast couch settle.
