Gelato family cannabis strains

The Gelato family is a younger offshoot of the broader Cookies line, anchored by Sunset Sherbet (Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties) and its progeny crossed against Thin Mint GSC to produce the original Gelato cut sometime around 2014 in the Bay Area. From that single seed run came the numbered Gelato phenos — Gelato 33, Gelato 41 (Bacio), Gelato 45 — that fueled the dessert-strain wave through the late 2010s and seeded Wedding Cake, Ice Cream Cake, Runtz, and most of the loud sweet-cream cultivars on legal shelves today. The defining trait is a creamy, sugary, slightly fruity terpene stack layered over a gassy Cookies backbone, with dense purple-tinted buds carrying a sticky resin coat. Plants tend to stay short, finish in eight to ten weeks, and produce heavy bag appeal at the cost of being slightly fussy on feed and humidity. If a strain in the Lockbox library leans sweet, creamy, and visually loud, there is a strong chance the Gelato line runs through its pedigree.
