Cannabis strains from the 2000s
The 2000s were the decade when American clones outpaced Dutch seed in the underground market. OG Kush — most likely a Chemdawg phenotype selected in Florida and propagated through Los Angeles — became the defining West Coast strain, while Sour Diesel codified the East Coast sativa from a Chemdawg sister line. DNA Genetics relocated from Los Angeles to Amsterdam in 2003, bringing the LA OG lineage with them and spawning sub-labels including Reserva Privada and Crockett Family Farms. Barney's Farm released Amnesia Haze, Tangerine Dream, and LSD; Greenhouse pushed Super Lemon Haze to two consecutive Cup wins; and TGA Subcool's Jack the Ripper line introduced terpinolene-dominant breeding to the mainstream. The decade closed with Reserva Privada's Kosher Kush taking back-to-back indica Cup wins in 2010 and 2011 — strains released in the 2000s but recognized just after.

Why these strains
Decade assignment is hand-curated by the Library Desk based on documented release year, breeder catalogue history, and the era in which the strain's genetic line became culturally anchored — not the year a modern seed pack of the same name was sold. Later remakes and S1/S2 reissues of an older cultivar are listed under the decade of the original release rather than the reissue.
