Strain family

Haze family cannabis strains

The Haze family began in the early 1970s in Santa Cruz, California, where the breeders known only as the Haze Brothers crossed Colombian, Mexican, Thai, and South Indian sativa lines into what would become Original Haze. Seeds of that work travelled to Holland in the 1980s, where Sam the Skunkman and later Neville Schoenmaker stabilized the line and used it as the foundation for Northern Lights #5 x Haze, Super Silver Haze, Amnesia Haze, and most Cup-winning sativas of the next two decades. Haze plants run long — twelve to fourteen weeks of flower is normal — stretch aggressively in early bloom, and reward growers with airy, sparkling buds whose smoke leans incense, citrus peel, and sharp spice. The high is famously cerebral, often electric, and largely free of the heavy body load that defines indica-side genetics. Anything in the Lockbox library carrying Haze in its lineage rewards patience, vertical space, and a willingness to feed a hungry sativa.
